Job Summary

Egypro is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge, analytical abilities, and a strategic mindset to manage end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, Subcontractors management, logistics, and distribution. This role requires close collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Sales teams to ensure seamless supply chain integration and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company goals and customer demands.
  • Manage procurement processes, vendor relationships, and supplier performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and timely sourcing of materials.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
  • Oversee inventory management, demand planning, and logistics operations.
  • Implement and manage ERP systems and digital tools for supply chain optimization.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and innovation.
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and supply chain metrics to senior management.
  • Source, procure, evaluate and compare technical materials, equipment, and services for MEP and civil works (e.g., HVAC units, pumps, electrical panels, conduits, steel, concrete, piping, Construction equipment, civil materials and contractors).
  • Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers / contractors to achieve the best terms in cost, quality, lead time, and after-sales service.
  • Develop and maintain approved vendor lists with performance tracking and risk assessment.
  • Review project specifications, BOQs, and technical drawings to ensure accurate material requisitions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to verify compatibility and quality of procured materials.
  • Participate in value engineering sessions to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Forecast material requirements based on project schedules and coordinate with planning departments.
  • Manage warehouse operations and inventory levels to reduce overstocking or material shortages.
  • Coordinate local and international logistics for timely delivery to multiple project sites.
  • Ensure compliance with customs, import/export regulations, and local authority requirements.
  • Monitor transport and handling to minimize damage and loss.
  • Prepare supply chain budgets in alignment with project estimates and forecasts.
  • Track material costs and monitor variances to identify potential savings.
  • Support commercial teams with material costing during tendering and estimation.
  • Ensure procurement and logistics activities comply with ISO standards, internal policies, and client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits, contracts, and material approvals.
  • Oversee the preparation of technical submittals for consultant/client approvals.
  • Submit regular reports and analysis for the supply chain activities to the Project Director and board members.
  • Submit technical data sheets, manuals, specifications and any required procured material approvals required by the consultant or end user.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or engineering or a related field (master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a technical supply chain role, preferably in MEP or IT Infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, supply chain software, and data analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM/CSCP, PMP, or Six Sigma are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale supply chain projects.
  • Experience with global supply chain operations and international sourcing.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices in supply chain management.
  • Advanced Office suite skills and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Ability to develop and implement contingency plans to address supply chain disruptions.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance, including import/export laws and trade agreements.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and supplier agreement management.
